Other engagement

I am engaged in initiatives across the academic and practitioner arenas of global development and international feminist solidarity.

CASID Board Member

As a newly appointed board member of the Canadian Association for Studies of International Development (CASID), I am eager to contribute to the community that offered mentorship, peer support, and scholarly exchange, crucial for the doctoral formation I started as an international student.

Global civil society engagement

In a volunteering capacity, I am a member of the International Coordinating Committee of the Reality of Aid (RoA), a Southern-led global network of civil society organizations working on humanitarian and development action around the world. RoA leverages and amplifies the expertise and perspectives of its diverse global membership to influence development cooperation policy and practice. I have supported the global secretariat's strategic planning and co-constructed proposals for future-oriented initiatives of the network.

Policy advising

Committed to strengthening the integration of global development and feminist scholarship and practice, I am open to consultative roles with multilateral, government, and civil society organizations advancing agendas of transformative feminist futures and decolonized paradigms of global development and international cooperation. My recent engagements include policy environment scanning, stakeholder and donor mapping, magazine article authorship and curation, and project development for actors in Canada and abroad. A more detailed list of these engagements is available on my LinkedIn page.

International Development Internship Corner

As a doctoral student affiliated with the University of Guelph's Institute for Development Studies, I founded and coordinated an Internship Corner, which offers career guidance and support for students interested in often inaccessible entry-level opportunities across the international cooperation sector in Canada and abroad. This involved devising student resources and a coordination plan and working with four other early career researchers and doctoral fellows to offer coaching and monthly career orientation sessions.
