Gloria Novovic, PhD

I am a Gender, Development and Globalisation Fellow at the London School of Economics. I hold a PhD in Political Science and International Development (University of Guelph, 2021) and describe my work as a feminist critique of international cooperation.

My academic efforts are grounded in my doctoral specializations in global governance and public policy and political feminist thought. My research and teaching also draw upon a decade of my practitioner experience in the field, including the roles at the Canadian national council of international cooperation, the United Nations' World Food Programme and civil society organizations in Serbia.

I have designed and taught undergraduate and graduate courses, presented at major international conferences, and published in peer-reviewed and practitioner journals. My work has been supported by the Ontario Trillium Foundation (OTF), the International Development Research Centre (IDRC), and the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council (SSHRC) as well as recognized by the University of Guelph's Institute of Development Studies (GIDS) and the Faculty of Social and Applied Human Sciences (SAHS), and the Canadian Association for Studies of International Development (CASID).
